Meet the CAPC 2019 Competition Winners!
Two competitions took place during the 9th Annual Canadian Agri-Food Policy Conference on Agri-Environmental Policy and Programs, from February 13-15, 2019 at the Château Laurier, in Ottawa, Ontario.
9TH ANNUAL AGRI-FOOD POLICY POSTER COMPETITION

Several researchers prepared posters that focused on the policy implications of their research. Conference attendees voted during the Wine & Cheese reception to pick the top three. The finalists summarized their research in front of the audience and a panel of judges the next morning to determine places.

1st Place: All-expenses paid trip to the 2019 CAES Annual Meeting from July 9-12, in Ottawa, Ontario

3rd Place: $200
3RD ANNUAL POLICY BRIEF WRITING COMPETITION

This competition involved writing a policy briefing note including background and advice to the Minister of Agriculture on a policy issue. Policy questions, instructions and template were emailed to participants only a few days in advance of the conference to force students to work under pressure.

2nd Place: $200 + Free registration to 2020 CAES Policy Conference
3rd Place: $100 + Free registration to 2020 CAES Policy Conference
